Seeding the City
Part of Human-Nature: art, horticulture & choreography across the growing season
A programme of talks across two weekends in May and June, curated in partnership with Nomad and held in association with Chelsea Fringe Festival and as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2014.
Seeding the City explores ideas of Natural Capital. From a medicinal meadow to the Green Grid of London, to large scale artistic and architectural urban interventions, the programme offers the chance to connect with others through discussion, walks food and drink.
In their first joint public talk, Dan Pearson and Thomas Heatherwick discuss the concepts behind London’s Garden Bridge. Artists Ackroyd & Harvey also host a discussion examining their use of organic materials to make powerful, though often subtle statements in an increasingly managed environment.
