PROCÈS FICTIF : LA SEINE, LES DROITS D’UN FLEUVE
Le Théâtre de la Concorde organise une soirée immersive inédite, où la défense de la nature prend la forme d’un…
Cape Farewell commissioned West Dorset based artist Guy Martin to engage with three farming families in Sydling St. Nicholas, Dorset, as part of the Rural Artists Residencies Programme. Guy Martin has chosen to focus his project on an historic small farm, now redundant, on Huish Farm, and created Forcey’s Tower.
The Tower is named after the Forcey family who once farmed Bushes Bottom Farm and marks the centenary of their leaving in 1914. It also marks the transition of farming practice in the surrounding farms to a more sustainable way of working and living in order to preserve and protect the native flora and fauna of this area.
To celebrate this sculpture we invite you to join us at Bushies Barn for a blessing by Rev. Jonathon Swift. Bring a picnic and make an afternoon of it! Please do follow the rights of way to Bushies from any direction, or there will be a tractor and trailer to take up to 20 people leaving Huish Farm at 11.15 and returning at 2.30- 3pm. Children are very welcome. As there will be many of us, please keep all dogs on leads, bring a bag for your rubbish
and be warned, loos will be behind a bush!
Free event on Saturday 4th October 2014 12.00pm atBushies Bottom, Sydling St. Nicholas.
